The main bit of psychological advice i can give is what i did from 22 years of age, which was to carry on life like before i had acne, and tell myself i don't have anything. This gave me my confidence back. But when you think about acne on the big stage its not as bad as it seems, sure it looks not that good and may hurt, but compared to life threatening illnesses such as cancer and heart disease it is really nothing and you should be happy you only have acne. After a while the people constantly around you will not notice your acne. Its like an uncle i had who had big moles all over his face, after a while of seeing him you just get use to it and barely notice he has or had anything wrong with him. So don't get down or do anything drastic, acne is only a skin condition and everyone will get it at some stage of their lives. Your friends and girls like you on who you are and not what you look like. If by some chance you are being liked on what you look like then you are better off not being around those people. Another thing is when i had acne it acted as a good judgement inside me. I new the people who saw me as different and uncool and treated me not the same as before. And i easily knew the whole hearted people who treated me like usual. So it was a good judge of characted and helped me in choosing worthy friendships and girlfriends in the future after acne. Some other good advice is to not think about what you look like now. Think about what you are going to look like in the near to distant future without acne. The mind is very important and can aid recovery time so thinking positive can only help in beating acne. Remember its not that big of a deal, with or without acne live life like normal.
